BOWL FOR KIDS' SAKE is coming! Preparations are underway for the 30th Annual BFKS. Yes, 30 years of bowling fun to benefit the youth of Berks County is upon us...but we need your help. Big Brothers Big Sisters is searching for a company to serve as Prime Sponsor for the upcoming BFKS event. Your sponsorship ($5,000 sponsor) gets you a multi-media marketing package worth an estimated $25,000! Interested? Call the agency at 610-373-5544 and ask for Kristin or Jim. The 30th Annual BFKS takes place April 28th & 29th (2012) at Berks Lanes and May 19th at Heister Lanes...so mark your calendars! on the child. We've all had someone in our lives -- other than a parent -- who made a difference
to us. This is what you can do for a child in our program. It's really pretty simple...it's a matter of making
yourself available on a consistent basis; it's having fun with a Little Brother or Little Sister; it's listening to them
talk about whatever is going on in their lives; it's a series of small, teachable moments that -- in the end -- make

great appreciation to the UPS FOUNDATION for awarding Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County
a grant in the amount of $21,200. This grant will go toward continuing our group mentoring progams: COUL (the
Club of Unmatched Littles) and TEEN. Also in December
2011, Executive Director Jim Smith attended a meeting of the Moms Club of Douglassville West...during
which he accepted a $2,100 donation from the organization. The Moms Club named BBBS of Berks the primary benefactor
of their fundraising event in September. |
