The 13th Annual Golf Invitational is coming!    This year's event takes place Friday, August 22nd, at Willow Hollow Golf Course...a different location this year, but same great fun!  This year's Title Sponsors (Customers Bank, UGI Utilities, and Capriani & Werner PC) invite you to join over 100 participants for a round of golf, and help raise funds needed to maintain our four (4) quality-driven, proven-effective mentoring programs.  Call (610) 373-5544 to find out about Corporate Sponsor opportunities, Hole Sponsors information, and forming your own four-some.

Friendship is a powerful thing!  It's fun; most anyone can be a friend; and it's important.  Experiencing fun activities together and forming a trusting bond with a child can have a powerful and positive impact on the child.     We've all had someone in our lives -- other than a parent -- who made a difference to us.  This is what you can do for a child in our program.  It's really pretty simple...it's a matter of making yourself available on a consistent basis; it's having fun with a Little Brother or Little Sister; it's listening to them talk about whatever is going on in their lives; it's a series of small, teachable moments that -- in the end -- make a BIG diffference.  Just a "Little Time = Big Rewards" with YOUR help!

Find out how you can be a BIG BROTHER or a BIG SISTER.  You can visit our "Become a Big" page for more, or just give us a call at (610) 373-5544.

BBBS of Berks County has been renewed for the 2014-2015 year as an EIO (Education Improvement Organization) through the PA Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program.  EITC contributors last year helped the agency provide our school-based mentoring program called SMART (Students & Mentors Achieving Results Together) to about 60 students who were mentored by high school volunteers from their own district(s).  The high school Bigs helps their Littles with home work, socialization skills, self-esteem, and more while earning the service-learning hours required for their graduation.  If you are an EITC-approved company or want to know more about the EITC program, call Jim Smith at (610) 373-5544.
