|Melissa Sarnocinski of Susquehanna Bank presents Executive DirectorJim Smith with an EITC check.
Thank you, Susquehanna Bank and East Penn Manufacturing!
Suquehanna Bank again partnered with BBBS of Berks by providing an EITC contribution of $4,300,
while East Penn/Deka earlier contributed over $7,000 as part of the state's EITC (Education Improvement Tax Credit) program.
East Penn and Susquehanna Bank joined National Penn Bank -- which contributed $2,500 earlier this year -- to help fund the
agency's school-based mentoring programs at Conrad Weiser and Hamburg School Districts. The EITC program allows approved
companies to contribute a large portion of a number of state taxes to EITC-approved agencies like BBBS of Berks. Our
agency has been EITC-eligible since 2006. For more information on the EITC program or the agency's eligibility, call
Jim Smith at (610) 373-5544.
