Melissa Sarnocinski of Susquehanna Bank presents Executive DirectorJim Smith with an EITC check.

Thank you, Quadrant EPP!  Quadrant is the newest company to partner with BBBS of Berks, as part of the PA Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program.  The program helps fund the agency's school-based mentoring programs at Conrad Weiser and Hamburg School Districts.  The EITC program allows approved companies to contribute a large portion of a number of state taxes to EITC-approved agencies like BBBS of Berks.  Our agency has been EITC-eligible since 2006.  For a complete list of the FY-2014 EITC contributors to Big Brothers Big Sisters, see our BBBS News page.  For more information on the EITC program or the agency's eligibility, call Jim Smith at (610) 373-5544.

Members of the TEEN program going to new heights!

We need YOU!
Friendship is a powerful thing!  It's fun; most anyone can be a friend; and it's important.  Experiencing fun activities together and forming a trusting bond with a child can have a powerful and positive impact on the child.     We've all had someone in our lives -- other than a parent -- who made a difference to us.  This is what you can do for a child in our program.  It's really pretty simple...it's a matter of making yourself available on a consistent basis; it's having fun with a Little Brother or Little Sister; it's listening to them talk about whatever is going on in their lives; it's a series of small, teachable moments that -- in the end -- make a BIG diffference.  Just a "Little Time = Big Rewards" with YOUR help!
Find out how you can be a BIG BROTHER or a BIG SISTER.  You can visit our "Become a Big" page for more, or just give us a call at (610) 373-5544.
