Day #1 of the 40th Annual Bowl For Kids’ Sake is just two weeks away! We still have room on April 19th at Hiester Lanes in Reading. That weekend, BFKS moves to Berks Lanes in Sinking Spring — and again, we have plenty of room for teams, teams, and more teams!

Meet Little Alaina, our March 2022 Little of the Month! Little Alaina is a 15-year-old in Reading who wants to be a lawyer when she grows up. She would benefit greatly from having a positive, out-going role model in her life to stand with her to defend her potential.

Match of the Month - February 2022
We are excited to introduce you to February’s match of the month, Little Kaleb and Big Kyleigh. Kaleb and Kyleigh are one of our school-based matches from our Students and Mentors Achieving Results Together (SMART) program at the Oley Valley Elementary site. Kaleb is new to the program this year, while Kyleigh has served as a Big since the 2019-20 school year.

She wants to be a doctor when she grows up. In the meantime, our COUL Little of the Month for February 2022 — Little Sister Lorena — likes to draw and watch horror movies.

PA EITC participation renewed
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County, PA, has been renewed as an EITC-eligible organization. Pennsylvania’s Education Improvement Tax Credit program allows EITC-approved companies to donate a large portion of certain state taxes to one or more EITC-eligible agencies.
