BBBS of Berks Day at the Reading Royals

Little Brother Michael and Big Brother Todd were the center of attention on Saturday, as LB Michael dropped the first puck at the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County Night at the Reading Royals!  The evening also included a check presentation as Executive Director Jim Smith with LB Michael and BB Todd was presented with a $1,000 check from the Reading Royals and Customers Bank.

As part of the BBBS Night, Royals fans visited our BBBS of Berks Information Table on the concourse to learn more about our agency and to meet some Board members, staff, and other volunteers. Visitors to our table learned about our quality-driven programs and our upcoming 41st Annual Bowl For Kids’ Sake.

The evening also featured Jim’s live interview on the Royals radio broadcast.  A number of our Littles, Bigs, and families were also able to take in all of the action. 

It was an exciting night for BBBS and for the Royals who beat the Admirals 5 to 3.
