We need YOU!

Friendship is a powerful thing!  It's fun; most anyone can be a friend; and it's important.  Experiencing fun activities together and forming a trusting bond with a child can have a powerful and positive impact on the child.     We've all had someone in our lives -- other than a parent -- who made a difference to us.  This is what you can do for a child in our program.  It's really pretty simple...it's a matter of making yourself available on a consistent basis; it's having fun with a Little Brother or Little Sister; it's listening to them talk about whatever is going on in their lives; it's a series of small, teachable moments that -- in the end -- make a BIG diffference.  Just a "Little Time = Big Rewards" with YOUR help!

Find out how you can be a BIG BROTHER or a BIG SISTER.  You can visit our "Become a Big" page for more, or just give us a call at (610) 373-5544.

Our great appreciation to the UPS FOUNDATION for awarding Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County a grant in the amount of $21,200.  This grant will go toward continuing our group mentoring progams:  COUL (the Club of Unmatched Littles) and TEEN.

Also in December 2011, Executive Director Jim Smith attended a meeting of the Moms Club of Douglassville West...during which he accepted a $2,100 donation from the organization.  The Moms Club named BBBS of Berks the primary benefactor of their fundraising event in September.
