the 28th annual Bowl For Kids' Sake

Sponsored once again by our friends at GMI First, the 28th BFKS takes place April 10th and April 11th
And as usual, the event will be held at the home of our annual event...Bowl-O-Rama in Exeter.
.
How can you help?  Well, there are a number of ways for YOU or YOUR COMPANY to participate.
  • Start forming your bowling team now!  Each team -- comprised of 4 or 5 bowlers -- is asked to raise a minimum of $275.  Each team member gets a free round of bowling, lunch, a BFKS t-shirt, and more.  Individuals raising $75 or more are eligible for the GRAND PRIZE drawing.  Those individuals raising $125 or more receive a mall gift certificate -- and individuals raising $250 or more also get a $20 gift certificate to a local restaurant.

  • Businesses can assist by becoming a Corporate Sponsor.  Several levels of sponsorship are available including Prime Sponsor ($5,000), T-Shirt Sponsor ($2,500), Major Sponsor ($1,000) or Assisting Sponsor ($500).  All Corporate Sponsors get a free ad in our Souvenir Event Book; their company listed on over 500 color BFKS T-Shirts; and are welcome to display their company banner at the event.  For more information on Corporate Sponsorship and the marketing benefits of each level, please contact Executive Director Jim Smith.

  • Businesses and individuals/families can also help by sponsoring a Littles Team Your sponsorship will enable a team of Little Brothers/Sisters to enjoy the fun-filled day at Bowl-O-Rama, and you will get a listing in our Souvenir Event Book.  Full sponsorship is $300, or you can be a co-sponsor at $150.  Contact Executive Director Jim Smith or Administrative Assistant Kristin Eck for more info on being a Littles Team sponsor.

Bowlers from GMI First join the Littles for a break in the action!

Over 500 bowlers were on-hand for BFKS 2009 sponsored by GMI FIRST INC.!  Those bowlers -- making up over 100 teams -- helped raise nearly $65,000.  All money raised at BFKS stays right here in Berks County to help fund our four (4) mentoring programs.

Besides those many bowlers and our prime sponsor (GMI First, Inc.), a number of businesses joined the ranks to help raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters.  A regular partner to Big Brothers Big Sisters, Giorgio Foods bowled a strike as one of our T-Shirt Sponsors...joined by a new sponsor this year, Aon Risk Services.  Other Corporate Sponsors in 2009 included:  East Penn Manufacturing/Deka, Sovereign Bank, Walmart (Temple), National Penn Bank, Beard Miller Company, RM Palmer, UGI, Interstate Container, and VIST Financial.

Businesses and individuals also helped by sponsoring a Littles Team...and many other companies & individuals banded together to help make BFKS 2009 a success!  Please see the list below (our appreciation also to those who contributed anonymously).
