As you can certainly see, everyone had fun at Bowl For Kids' Sake (April 10th & 11th at Bowl-O-Rama).



JULY 2010

Tuesday, July 6th (5:30 pm to 7:30 pm) - COUL & Match...Independence Day Party: Join us as we celebrate the Independence of our country with a few Independence Day activities and yummy goodies!  This was listed originally as a COUL event; however, the event was opened to matches as we welcome our friends from the United Way.
  
Saturday, July 10th (4:30 pm to 9:00 pm) - COUL & Match...Golf-mainia:  Last year, mother nature put a stop to our golf outing, but this year we know that she is going to work with us!  Get out of the house and join us as we take a trip to Manor Golf Club to PAR-take in a few golf drills.
  
Tuesday, July 13th (10:00 am to 3:00 pm) - COUL & Match...Hawk Mountain:  We're taking a trip to the oldest and largest member-supported raptor organization...Hawk Mountain Sanctuary.  There, you will have an opportunity to see birds such as hawks, eagles, and falcons.  NOTE: Wear comfortable clothing and sneakers or walking shoes.

Wednesday, July 21st (9:00 pm to 1:00 pm) - COUL & Match...Oak Trail at Blue Marsh:  We are heading up to Blue Marsh Lake to explore the beautiful Great Oak Trail.  Along this trail, we will see different plants and animals as well as natural & manmade contstraints that the wildlife use to adpt to their environment.  NOTE: Wear comfortable clothing and sneakers or walking shoes.
  
Tuesday, July 27th (5:30 pm to 7:30 pm) - COUL...Reptile Exhibit:  Our friends at Reptile Canyon are back to let the reptiles run wild!  Well, not literally...but they will be brining several awesome reptiles to BBBS for us to learn about & get an up-close look at them. 
                                 
Please NOTE that the office will be closed on Monday, July 5th, in observance of Independence Day!

Tuesday, August 3rd (9:00 am to 12:00 noon)- COUL & Match..Cold Stone Creamery:  We're visiting the Cold Stone Creamery in Wyomissing.  While there, we will learn the history behind the Cold Stone Creamery and will also have a chance to see where the ice cream is made and stored.  You may even get a chance to create your own ice cream!

Wednesday, August 11th (9:00 am to 11:00 am) -- COUL & Match...Reading Eagle Tour: The Reading Eagle newspaper has allowed us to pay them a visit!  Have you ever seen a newspaper go through to the press...or thought of how a newspaper is printed?  Get out of bed and join us as we visit the Reading Eagle and their new building/ 
  
Tuesday, August 17th (5:30 pm to 8:30 pm) - COUL...Cool Summertime Cooking:  The summer brings heat, which causes dehydration and the need for food.  Pull those chef hats out of the closet and help BBBS cook some healthy summer-time foods.
  
Tuesday, August 24th (10:30 am to 4:00 pm) - COUL & Match...A Day at French Creek:  .This is a reward activity (Littles - do not register.  We'll notify you if eligible to attend).  What a better way to cool down from the heat then to jump into a pool.  We will be heading over to the French Creek pool for some fun in the sun. 
              
Saturday, August 28th (10:00 am to 4:00 pm) - COUL & Match...3rd Annual Wilson High School/BBBS Football Day:  It's that time of year again...time for us to visit our good friends over at Wilson High School.  Wilson's football team and cheerleaders will be waiting for us to play some flag football and enjoy lunch with them.  This is an ACTION PACKED activity...not one you want to miss!
