West Side Wood Products_the 2011 Champs!

The 10th Annual Golf Invitational was held at Manor Golf Course on August 19th...and it was the biggest ever for the agency! This year's event had more teams than ever before; more hole sponsors than ever; and was the highest grossing Golf Invitational ever! Our deepest gratitude to everyone who made it such a success.

Congratulations to the team from West Side Wood Products, who won the event with a 14 under-par. Our second place team was "Julie's Dad" -- followed by the team from First Priority Bank. Both were among six teams scoring 8 under-par. In all, 25 teams participated this year. Besides the three winners, there were:

Golfers were greeted with a give-away (courtesy of our Title Sponsors, ParenteBeard and Kent & McBride) and Arby's MarketFresh sandwiches. They again had a shot at a new car, trips, and other prizes -- thanks to our annual Hole-In-One Contest Sponsor, Bob Fisher Chevrolet. We've had a hole-in-one each of the past two years, but it was -- unfortunately -- not the case for the 10th Annual Golf Invitational. Better luck next year, golfers!

The goal for the 10th Annual Golf Invitational was $17,350. The numbers are still being crunched, but -- thanks to EVERYONE involved -- the agency will exceed that goal by at least $1,000 this year! And remember...all money raised during the Golf Invitational stay right here in Berks County to help fund our four (4) mentoring programs serving at-risk youth (primarily from single-parent households).
